Female PE Teacher – Maternity Cover

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Female PE Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Southend-on-Sea on a maternity cover basis.
This role will commence after the Easter holidays (April 2026) and run until January 2027, teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role
* Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Inspire students to develop confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong interest in physical activity
* Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
* Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and participation
* Work collaboratively within the PE department and wider school community
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* UK secondary school teaching experience is essential
* Ability to teach PE across KS3 and KS4
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* A positive, energetic, and professional approach
