Cloud and Infrastructure Architect (Azure)
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a global environment and wants to take ownership of designing, optimising, and securing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s cloud transformation strategy and driving continuous improvement across their IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure solutions.
* Optimise system performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
* Lead and support cloud migration and transformation projects.
* Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and compliance risks.
* Collaborate with global IT and vendor teams to test and integrate new technologies.
* Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, PowerShell).
* Support and train teams on cloud technologies and best practices.
* Maintain up-to-date business continuity and disaster recovery documentation.
* Act as an escalation point for operational issues and provide strategic technical guidance.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years in cloud and infrastructure engineering or architecture.
* Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure (including Azure Migrate).
* Proven background in on‑prem to cloud transformation.
* Experience with VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC.
* Knowledge of networking technologies (Cisco ACI, F5, Palo Alto, SD‑WAN).
* Scripting/automation experience (Terraform, PowerShell).
* Solid understanding of cloud security and governance best practices.
* Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows Server/Active Directory.
