Position: Lunch/ Recess Aide
Location: Chelmsford High School
General Description: To provide student supervision to maintain a well-organized, smoothly functioning school environment. Duties include monitoring students for safety during lunch / break periods.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a team environment to provide a safe and caring environment for all students.
Manage students during meal service.
Monitor students for safety and social interactions
Communicate with students and staff in a positive professional manner.
Supervise students during break time.
Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should hold the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with children and/or teens
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the high school level.
- Experience working with age-appropriate students in a school setting.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: School Principal
Workdays: -day work year
Hours per week: 10:30 am - 1:00 pm or as needed (2.5 hours daily)

Chelmsford High School is a public high school located in Chelmsford Massachusetts, established in. The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year. Chelmsford High School offers opportunities in high-quality academics, community service, performing arts experiences, championship-level athletics, and mentor relationships in a technologically rich environment.
