More about the role:
The Head of Operational Services will report to the Interim Director of Property. The focus of the role is to:
6. Provide strategic leadership to the in-house HMT and NEAT teams, ensuring a high-performing, efficient and financially disciplined internal contractor service.
7. Lead the delivery of responsive repairs, void property repairs, estates services, and in-house planned works, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, robust cost control and compliance with corporate standards.
8. Develop and grow the service and support the transition of all directly provided maintenance and estate services into Places for People Group.
9. Collaborate to develop systems and processes to increase the productivity of the teams

10. Track record The role requires someone with experience overseeing multiple service areas within a social housing environment.
11. Leadership We need a leader who can drive efficiency, improve service performance, and embed consistent operational processes across both teams.
12. Change management/transformation The successful candidate must have a track record of leading cultural and organisational change and developing and growing in-house services and have an ability to build high-performing teams
13. Commercial and data driven Strong data-driven decision-making, commercial awareness, and ability to monitor and report on performance.
