Job Summary
Electrical Supervisor at Weyerhaeuser’s Timberstrand facility in Monticello, AR. Full‑time, salaried exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This role involves managing a team of electricians and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and maintenance of all equipment and buildings, meeting department and plant objectives.
Responsibilities
* Team management and development: recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate electrical staff; plan daily and long‑term work assignments.
* Safety leadership and compliance: conduct safety audits, lead safety meetings, implement and enforce safety protocols, and address hazards promptly.
* Maintenance communication: facilitate pre‑shift and shift handover meetings and maintain detailed communication logs.
* Electrical operations oversight: direct installation, repair, and maintenance of mill equipment, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and industry standards.
* Preventive maintenance program: use CMMS (e.g., SAP) to schedule and track preventive maintenance tasks and monitor compliance with manufacturer intervals.
* Troubleshooting and problem resolution: diagnose equipment faults quickly, document root causes, and implement corrective actions.
* Technical skill development: assess skill gaps and organize targeted training for the team.
* Inventory and resource management: prioritize maintenance requests, manage spare parts inventory, and optimize resource allocation using SAP dashboards.
* Team leadership and policy enforcement: resolve associate and contractor issues, mediate disputes, and enforce site policies fairly.
* Interdepartmental collaboration: maintain relationships with other departments, attend cross‑functional meetings, and coordinate joint projects.
Qualifications
* General Electrical Experience: More than five years of broad electrical experience, with strong practical foundations.
* Supervisory Experience: At least two years of supervisory experience in an electrical environment.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication abilities.
* Analytical Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose complex issues and implement timely solutions.
* CMMS Experience: Knowledge of CMMS, particularly SAP, for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks.
* Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Project.
* Coaching and Relationship Building: Ability to elevate team performance through positive relationships and coaching.
Compensation
Compensation: An annual merit‑increase program and a base salary in the range of $82,533 to $123,800. Eligible for an annual incentive program targeting 7% of base pay, with potential up to two times that target.
