Job Title: Operations Leader - SQEP
Location: Barrow-In-Furness (On-Site)
What you’ll be doing:
1. Developing and leading the current and future workforce capability.
2. Serving as a central contact for SQEP and training within the Test & Commissioning function.
3. Supporting and developing apprentices and graduates through structured placements and recruitment events.
4. Providing guidance to develop the workforce within your discipline.
5. Governance of the Nuclear Baseline for Test & Commissioning, collaborating with stakeholders.
6. Leading and motivating staff through effective communication and management, aligned with company values and policies.
7. Ensuring competencies are up-to-date on role profiles for assessment.
8. Interpreting SQEP assessments to identify skills gaps and plan future training.
9. Ensuring discipline-specific training is relevant and effective for different build phases.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Broad knowledge of Submarines and understanding of the Test & Commissioning department is beneficial.
2. Strong leadership skills to support the discipline manager.
3. Leadership or management experience in a similar environment.
4. Understanding of operations processes and delivery.

The Test & Commissioning Team:
The team consists of 5 members supporting the wider function to ensure proper staffing, skills, and facilities. The function supports all Test & Commissioning programs, focusing on capability, effective utilization, and governance. Relocation support packages are available for eligible roles.
