As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing customer queries and ensuring prompt and effective resolution. The role also involves contacting clients to collect outstanding debts, minimising debtor days, and enhancing both customer experience and business efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to customer service and accounts-related queries received via email, post, or telephone, providing clear and concise information.
* Conduct investigations into customer queries and deliver timely resolutions.
* Contact customers to confirm payments and process remittances efficiently.
* Pursue overdue and unpaid invoices through telephone and written communication, using sound judgement to determine the most effective approach.
* Follow up on payment reminders, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all customer interactions and ensuring timely follow-up actions.
* Perform administrative duties, including dispatching invoices, sending reminder letters, and providing statements of account.
* Escalate problematic accounts to your line manager when all other avenues for debt collection have been explored, minimising risk to the company.
* Liaise with other departments to resolve customer service or accounts-related issues.
* Communicate with couriers to address delivery, returns, and collection matters.
* Undertake additional duties as required, in line with business needs.

* Experience in customer service and/or cash collections is advantageous.
* A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
