Title: Rail Project Manager
Salary: Up to £65k ~ some flexibility.
Location: Holborn ~ 3 days in office weekly
Overview:
La Fosse has partnered with an international media, broadcasting, and outdoor organization that is looking for an experienced Project Manager to deliver complex projects within a £200 million infrastructure program for a transportation client.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver projects within scope, budget, and safety standards, complying with CDM regulations 2015.
* Develop detailed project plans including budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
* Guide project teams through all phases from scoping to commissioning, ensuring goals are met.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
* Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
* Manage budgets and forecasts for CAPEX projects, ensuring cost control.
* Coordinate with finance and procurement to optimize costs and oversee contractor performance.
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, operations, and finance departments.
* Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
* Maintain contractor relationships and ensure compliance with project standards.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
* Implement quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct post-project reviews for continuous improvement.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
* Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and risks.
* Manage project closeout and transition processes.
Experience Needed:
* Over 5 years of experience managing rail projects.
* Experience with construction contracts, NEC, JCT, CCN, etc., and their effective administration.
* Experience delivering construction, installation, and commissioning projects, preferably on roads, highways, or rail.
* Proven ability to manage contractors and suppliers within NEC3/4 or similar frameworks.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations 2015 and safety management practices.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and document management systems like ASite.
* Experience leading project managers and direct reports.
