AWS is seeking an experienced healthcare technology leader to drive long‑term proposition development for the NHS. This is not a traditional sales role — it is a strategic, outward-facing position that combines deep NHS domain expertise with the ability to shape and architect cloud‑enabled solutions that address the systemic challenges facing the health service.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and own long‑term (2–5 year) cloud propositions aligned to NHS strategic priorities
• Translate NHS policy (10‑Year Health Plan, NHSE mandates, IC S strategies) into actionable AWS account plans
• Engage at CIO, CDIO, CCIO, and Medical Director level as a credible peer — understanding clinical workflows, operational pressures, and governance constraints from first‑hand experience
• Shape NHS procurement criteria and architecture standards ahead of formal tender processes
• Lead proposition development for complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives
• Work with AWS Solutions Architects, Partner teams, and ISVs to build reference architectures, business cases, and proof‑of‑concept designs
• Represent AWS at national policy forums, NHS boards, and industry bodies — contributing thought leadership on cloud‑enabled health system transformation
• Advise the AWS UK Healthcare leadership team on NHS strategic direction, emerging opportunities, and competitive positioning

A day in the life

No two days in this role are the same. On any given day, you might start the morning preparing a cloud business case for a Trust CFO and spend the afternoon on‑site with a CDIO walking through their digital roadmap. You’ll balance strategic account planning with tactical deal execution — one moment you’re working with a Trust’s to shape their infrastructure strategy, the next you’re navigating a procurement framework. You’ll join internal working sessions with Solutions Architects to design a resilient architecture for a clinical workload, then brief your leadership on pipeline progress. You’ll attend NHS industry events and IC S board meetings and host innovation days that bring clinicians face‑to‑face with AI and data tools. Some weeks you’ll be deep in a complex multi‑stakeholder procurement; others you’ll be running a proof‑of‑concept that demonstrates measurable productivity gains. What stays constant: you will be at the centre of the UK’s most significant healthcare transformation, working with senior leaders who are making technology decisions that will shape patient care for the next decade. The pace is high, the impact is real, and the team around you is exceptional.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
• Experience working in a healthcare environment
• Experience building and managing a healthy sales pipeline focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing a cloud‑based technology solution, or experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
