Location: Greenham Common Control Tower
Hours: 37 hours a week (weekends required), a minimum of 30 hours a week would be considered

Greenham Control Tower visitor centre and community hub is situated at the heart of Greenham Common. Our café plays a key role in welcoming visitors, offering high-quality refreshments, and supporting the sustainability of the site. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to lead our café operations, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient management, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
* Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the café, including food preparation, service, stock control, and compliance with health & safety standards
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all food hygiene, allergen, and health & safety requirements are met and documented
* Team Leadership: Train and manage café staff and volunteers, creating a positive and supportive working environment
* Customer Experience: Ensure a high standard of service and hospitality, maintaining the café as a welcoming space for visitors of all ages
* Financial Management: Monitor budgets, track sales and contribute to financial reporting
* Menu Development: Work with the team to create and update menus, keeping the café offering varied and affordable
* Community Engagement: Support events and activities at the Control Tower by providing catering and contributing to visitor experience
Person Specification
Essential:
* Previous experience in café, hospitality, or food service management
* Experience in food preparation
* Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
* Strong customer service ethos
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and occasional evenings
Desirable:
* Experience working with volunteers
* Understanding of community-focused organisations or heritage sites
* Experience in stock management and ordering
* Ability to contribute creative ideas for seasonal offers or themed events
