Summary
We are seeking a Cleaning/Domestic Services Supervisor to join our team at ISS Facility Services at the Royal Derby Hospital. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that patients receive exceptional service and support throughout their healthcare experience. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction.
The role will be 37.5 hours per week, working 2.00pm pm
This will include some weekends and bank holidays per rostered shift pattern.
Job Purpose
To provide a high-quality range of facility services to patients, including Cleaning and other associated services, maintaining a clean and safe environment in an efficient and safe manner.
Supervisory of all Cleaning and Operational services associated areas defined in your role. An integral member of the ISS team. The Supervisor should support the Domestic and Patient Services Managers in the planning and delivery of the service to support growth.
The focus will be on setting the highest standards ensuring the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service, taking into account the needs of the Client (NHS Royal Derby Hospital) and the Consumer (Patients, Staff and Visitors).
The key success factors for the role will be:
* Supervising and developing a multi-disciplinary team from differing backgrounds and skills sets.
* Supporting change as the service continually evolves to meet the requirements of all key stakeholders.
* Responsive to service needs and seeking to improve productivity.
* Maintaining Service Performance through self-monitoring
All work must be undertaken in line with health and safety, security, Company and Trust procedures.
Key Skills
* Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Empathy and understanding towards patient needs.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate domestic services and ensure smooth operations within the healthcare facility.
* Act as a liaison between departments and healthcare providers to facilitate communication.
* Assist departments with inquiries regarding services, appointments, and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of department interactions and service requests.
* Support the implementation of domestic service initiatives to enhance overall satisfaction.
* Collaborate with hospital staff to address service needs effectively.
