Old Church C.E Primary School – Level 2 Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant with experience of working in a school to join our dedicated team. At Old Church Primary School, we hold a strong Christian ethos, with caring and nurture at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to provide a wide range of learning experiences for all children, helping them to develop into future citizens and independent young people.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality education, care and support to all children.
* Support children with Special Educational Needs.
* Work with professionals to create and deliver high quality teaching.
* Liaise with teachers, professionals and parents about the needs of children.
* Create and adapt planning and resources to meet the needs of the child.
* Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
* Support the learning of all children in the class.
Required Skills for the Role
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience of working with children.
* A good communicator.
* GCSE (C grade) or equivalent in Maths and English.
* Two referees for references.
Desirable Skills for the Role
* Safeguarding training.
* Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
* Knowledge of obstacles to learning and strategies involved in overcoming these.

Contract Details
* Contract Type: 2 temporary posts; one could be permanent based on excellent practice. The second is a maternity cover.
* Working Pattern: Full Time: 28 hours.
* Pay Scale: G4.6 (0.6 - 0.11) £16,916.19 to £18,317.58.
