Deputy Coffee Shop Manager Boundary Outlet -Colne 40 hours a week working 5 days out of 7 We are seeking an experienced and energetic Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our large-scale, high-volume coffee shop. With 500 covers and a dynamic team of around 20 staff per day, this is a hands-on role requiring excellent leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Support the Coffee Shop Manager in leading all aspects of the day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer-focused environment. Lead by example on the shop floor, setting high standards for service, food safety, cleanliness, and presentation. Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of approximately 20 staff each day, including front-of-house, and kitchen team members. Manage staff rotas, break schedules, and shift allocations in real-time to respond to peak trading periods. Oversee the quality and consistency of food and drink, ensuring compliance with all food safety and health & safety legislation. Support with stock control, ordering, and waste reduction initiatives to maximise profitability. Handle customer feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Assist with training and onboarding of new team members, promoting a positive and inclusive working culture. Ensure all operational procedures, policies, and compliance checks are followed and documented correctly. Deputise for the Coffee Shop Manager during periods of absence. What We're Looking For Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a large and diverse team. Confident decision-maker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A keen eye for operational detail and the ability to thrive under pressure. Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and health & safety regulations. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Desirable Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate. Food or Food retail Background Experience in high-footfall hospitality environments.
