Job Description
Reed FE are working with a College in Lincolnshire and are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Plumbing & Gas Assessor/Teacher to join the team. This role involves teaching full-time students from levels 1-3 and assessing Level 3 Plumbing & Gas Apprentices. The successful candidate will ensure the timely delivery and completion of the NVQ element within our Level 3 Apprenticeship qualifications, including on-site assessments.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Teach and assess students and apprentices in Plumbing & Gas, ensuring high standards of delivery and achievement.
* Visit apprentices on-site/in their workplace to assess their competence and ability in their trade.
* Manage the timely completion of the NVQ elements of the apprenticeship.
* Provide support and guidance to learners, helping them achieve their apprenticeship goals.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Gas.
* Gas Safe qualification/registration.
* Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Proven industrial experience in the Plumbing & Gas sector.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area.
* Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
* Preferably qualified or working towards an Assessor and/or Internal Verifiers qualification.
