Job Description
Within the ARE Directorate, the Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID) are accountable for the strategic process that regulates and oversees the payment of Agricultural grants and subsidies and related inspections regime totalling £700m per annum. RPID is also responsible for other regulatory activity and expert technical advice on agriculture, crofting and land use. ARE strive to deliver on the Vision for Agriculture, and are currently going through a transition period under the Agriculture Reform Programme.
The Rural Payments and Inspections Division (RPID) has an exciting opportunity for you to join the Direct Payments Scheme Management Team, who have a central role in delivering rural support schemes and payments across Scotland.
This role will primarily focus on delivery of the Single Application Form (SAF), whilst managing and maintaining the Customer programme to ensure efficient and effective information management systems and processes. The balance of responsibilities may change over time, and the expectation is that you would be adaptable to contribute to the wider work of the scheme team.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of consistently delivering high quality work, often to short deadlines.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the team and engage with an interesting range of stakeholders and senior level colleagues. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate your own skills and initiative to work independently.
