The Role:
A leading UK construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a chemical/industrial building refurbishment project based in Manchester City Centre.
This is a technically demanding project within a live or controlled environment, offering an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys complex refurbishments and detailed commercial management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commercial management of a chemical building refurbishment project
* Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
* Procurement and management of subcontract packages
* Valuation of works, interim applications, and final accounts
* Assessment and agreement of variations and change control
* Cost reporting and financial risk management
* Working closely with the Project Manager and site team
* Ensuring commercial compliance with contract terms and company procedures
