Main duties of the job
You will:
* Assess adults and young people for ADHD, considering differential and/or co-occurring conditions to make diagnostic decisions using your clinical judgement and experience to formulate and implement client treatment plans.
* Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, NMP supervision, and multidisciplinary team meetings/case discussions.
* Ensure that clients' interests are fully considered within their treatment plans, ensuring active participation in ethical, shared decision-making, utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach.
* Keep accurate and timely client records on the clinical platform. Write professional reports within expected timeframes. Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs during ongoing patient care.
* Make recommendations on additional assessments or interventions required for the client within the report.
* Work closely with senior leadership on the development of ADHD pathways.
* Provide consultation and training to staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.
* Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC).

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions on practice
* Registered nurse or allied health professional with experience in assessing and diagnosing ADHD
* Knowledge of ADHD treatments
* Ability to manage caseload effectively and accurately
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation, research, and developments in ADHD
* Experience working with both children, young people, and adults with ADHD is preferred
* Knowledge of screening tools (e.g., DIVA, ADHD-RS, Conners) is advantageous
