You will play a key role in designing, optimising, and scaling up processes, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment, enjoys solving complex chemical engineering challenges, and is motivated by driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.## **What You’ll Do*** Design, optimise, and troubleshoot chemical processes with a focus on reaction chemistry and vacuum distillation.* Lead technical projects, ensuring smooth and safe scale‑up from laboratory development to full‑scale manufacturing.* Operate Siemens PCS7 control systems for automated process control, data acquisition, and batch management.* Facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA reviews for both new and existing processes.* Implement and maintain robust process safety management systems aligned with regulatory and industry standards.* Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, Maintenance, and EHS teams to drive performance and ensure compliance.* Prepare and review process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, and risk assessments.* Provide guidance and mentor junior engineers, supporting capability development within the team.## **What You Bring****Essential Qualifications & Experience*** Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in **Chemical Engineering** or related discipline.* **5+ years’ experience** in chemical manufacturing with clear expertise in process chemistry and vacuum distillation.* Proven ability to lead **HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA** assessments.* Strong understanding of process safety management and regulatory expectations.* Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.* Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.**Desirable Skills*** Experience in the Fragrance Ingredients industry.* Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.* Familiarity with additional automation or control systems.* Strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and responsible operations.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
