About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Shirley You will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and guidance to a small team of support staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This role is perfect for someone with compassion, empathy, and strong team-building skills, who wants to make a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support the staff team, offering guidance and development opportunities
* Assist management with the day-to-day running of the home, including designated administrative tasks
* Conduct 1:1 meetings with staff and support new team members through induction and probation
* Participate in assessing and planning care to meet individual service users' needs
* Attend meetings with professionals and family members as required
* Provide hands-on, high-quality support and companionship to service users
* Ensure smooth running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
What We're Looking For
* Strong leader with excellent communication skills
* Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or challenging behaviours
* Applicants must hold a Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, or equivalent, with a willingness to work towards the Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship
