Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Flint for a Shift Operational Lead.
This role with have ultimate accountability for all elements of shift performance. To strategically review the shift against wider business objectives influencing the Site Leadership Team in the pursuit of excellence and provide flexible leadership to develop and lead a team always demonstrating our company values – Teamwork, Excellence, Integrity and Safety.
Job Responsibilities: -
· As part of the Site Leadership Team, lead and motivate through communication, training, development, and performance management.
· Confirm and prioritise resource with the appropriate delegation to create and maintain a high performing production team.
· Develop and support Team Leader through continual coaching, mentoring, observation, and review, to create a Shift Leadership Team which is responsive, agile, efficient, and capable at all time including in the absence of the Shift Operational Lead
· Overall responsibility for the development of all operators through continual coaching, mentoring, observation, and review, identify the training and development needs of individuals to ensure team is responsive, agile, efficient, and capable.
· Build professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure co-operation and assistance in completion of work requirements, including but not restricted to Mixing, Quality, Maintenance, H&S and HR
· Promote the management of safety, with the objective of Zero Harm. Develop an active and engaged safety culture on shift.
· Take the lead in investigating and reporting of all accidents and incidents on site during your operational hours.
· Lead the Daily Operational review meetings, Shift Team meetings and briefs, and attend other meetings as required.
· Review shift plans - determining, communicating, and actioning plan changes to reduce over and under. Ensure that the relevant operators are made aware of any plan changes, potential material, specification, quality, and changeover issues.
· Accountable for all aspects of quality across the shift
· Develop a culture which is cost aware, encouraging team members to challenge losses across the shift.
· Accountable for ensuring all line changeovers and sanitisations are completed on time to the correct standard to minimise downtime.
· Work with the engineering team to analyse source of loss information and develop improvement projects targeting efficiency improvements.
Requirements for the position: -
· Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Computer literate.

· Good basic educational standard – Maths and English
· Desirable – Degree in Engineering / Manufacturing or equivalent in operational experience
· years Supervisory/Leadership experience in a Production Team in an FMCG environment, managing process control and operational excellence.
