We are looking to recruit an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join our client covering 12 month maternity leave with a view to become permanent.
Location: Haydock, St Helens WA11
Job Role: Customs Clearance Clerk
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm
Salary: £27,000 per annum
The Role:
· Preparation of Customs reports for Customers.
· Preparation of Customs Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
· Preparation of Export and Import Documentation on CDS for EU Shipments.
· Completion of GMRs using Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).
· Completion of Supplementary Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
· Liaise with HMRC directly regarding Import/Export issues.
· Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods .
· Ensure accurate and timely lodgement of Customs documentation.
· Liaise with 3rd Party Agents to obtain Customs Clearances.
Skills/ Requirements
Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures both Import and Export
Able to work toward and meet deadlines
Computer literate
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
Possess team player qualities
A proactive attitude
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
£27,000 per annum
28 days of annual leave ( inclusive of bank holidays)
Discretionary performance bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary
