We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner to take a leading role in delivering financial leadership and insight across a large and complex organisation, with responsibility for a portfolio worth just under £m in annual income. This post offers the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level while managing a talented team of Finance Business Partners and junior Finance Business Partners.
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will:
1. Lead and manage a team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality business partnering service across academic faculties.
2. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders acting as a trusted partner and critical friend.
3. Drive the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and five-year financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
4. Provide insightful financial analysis and narrative to accompany management reports for executive-level decision-making.
5. Oversee the development of financial reporting tools and ensure effective use of data to improve reporting and decision support.
6. Support the delivery of strategic initiatives, including investment appraisals, income generation projects, and international collaborations.
7. Actively contribute to the Finance Division’s leadership team, embedding values of collaboration, courage, and continuous improvement.
Based in Brighton, this is a central role within a complex organisation with a turnover of over £m. You will spend at least three days a week in the office, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and your team. 13. Have strong technical and analytical skills, with experience in financial modelling and developing reporting tools.
