The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Estates Technical Services Manager to provide technical leadership and assurance across critical estates and infrastructure programmes. This role is key to ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose Hard FM services within a complex, safety-critical environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting major investment programmes and operational activities while embedding engineering standards, regulatory compliance, and best practice across the estate. What We're Looking For A confident technical leader who can act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders Strong relationship builder with a track record of improving client outcomes Clear thinker with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, complex environment Someone who takes ownership of compliance, safety, and engineering excellence Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and assurance across estates programmes and Hard FM delivery Lead and support key programmes including infrastructure upgrades and safety interventions Apply engineering risk management and hazard-based approaches to safety-critical systems Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and professional standards Manage asset management processes for both fixed and non-fixed assets Engage with contractors and suppliers within a complex service delivery environment Conduct fault finding, root cause analysis, and implement long-term engineering solutions Support stakeholder engagement, ensuring a safe and compliant estate Essential Skills & Experience NVQ Level 3 in Heating & Ventilation (or equivalent) Strong knowledge of building services engineering (mechanical, HVAC, BMS systems) Experience with Health, Safety & Environmental standards in Facilities Management Proven experience in engineering risk management and safety-critical environments Strong understanding of fault diagnosis and root cause analysis Knowledge of building regulations and statutory compliance in FM Experience managing supplier and contractor relationships Strong asset management knowledge (fixed and non-fixed assets) Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Interested?
