Electrical Engineer – Cable Assemblies & Harnesses

My client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of bespoke cable assemblies and looms for the Aerospace, Defence, and Satellite sectors. Due to growth and winning of significant contracts they are looking for a practical, "hands-on" Engineer to bridge the gap between customers and production floor.
This role would suit a hands on Electrical Engineer who has experience within Cable Harnesses or Wiring Assembly, exposure to design, compliance and commercial aspects or the willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer:-
* Design & Spec: Create 2D AutoCAD drawings and system schematics for bespoke cable solutions.

Commercial: Handle technical customer enquiries and produce accurate quotations.

Production Support: Develop prototypes and write clear work instructions for the assembly team.
*
Compliance: Ensure all work meets AS9100 and industry-specific standards.
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer:

Proven background in cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, or looms.
*
Ability to read/interpret complex technical drawings.
*
Strong communication skills for customer-facing technical support.
*
Experience with AutoCAD (2D) is highly desirable
