Responsibilities
The duties include preparing and delivering course material, assessing student progress, managing and administering specified courses, and providing mentorship. A significant part of the role involves working with simulators, so prior simulator experience is highly desirable.
Requirements
* Officer of the Watch Unlimited (or higher) qualification
* Experience in marine engineering, ideally within the Merchant Navy
* A passion for teaching and developing future marine professionals
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Right to work in the UK (either permanent or limited‑time post‑education)
* Previous lecturing or instructional experience is advantageous but not essential
* Familiarity with maritime training simulators is a strong advantage
