Supply Desk is looking for motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive schools in Hemel Hempstead starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and help them overcome challenges in their learning journey.
What You ll Be Doing:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, and other additional learning requirements
* Support the delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
* Encourage independence, confidence, and social development in pupils
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to adapt learning strategies
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Who We re Looking For:
* Experience working with children with SEND is a plus, but not essential
* Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children
* Strong communication and teamworking skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
