Electrical / HVAC Fitter Rolling Stock Crewe £18.82 PAYE / £24.40 Umbrella Ongoing
Electrical / HVAC Fitter required for a permanent role based in Crewe, Cheshire within the Rolling Stock (Train) industry.
Our client is a global leader in rolling stock manufacturing, service, and maintenance, offering a stable and long-term career for skilled Electrical and Mechanical Fitters. This is an ongoing role with a standard 37-hour week and excellent pay, with overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Electrical / HVAC Fitter
* Overhaul, repair, and engineerrail HVAC units
* Read and interprettechnical drawings and schematics
* Perform electrical builds includingcrimping and soldering
* Pipe bending and brazing (desirable)
* Re-engineering and production of spare parts
* Carry out mechanical and electrical repair, replacement, and maintenance on rolling stock
* Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Candidate Requirements
* Time-served or apprentice-trained inElectrical/Mechanical disciplines
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
* Knowledge of electrical components and HVAC systems
* Experience in rolling stock, railway depot, or vehicle maintenance preferred
* Self-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* F-Gas certification and brazing experience desirable but not essential
Hours & Pay
* Monday Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm
* Friday: 8:00am 12:15pm (early finish)
* Standard 37-hour week
* Hourly rate: £18.82 PAYE / £24.40 Umbrella
* Overtime: First 5 hours at flat rate, then time & a half
