The Role
You will provide line management and leadership for a small team of Recruiters and will be expected to spend a portion of your time on team leadership and on recruitment delivery.
You will support the team to meet their relevant targets, KPIs and quality thresholds to drive value for the client and for AMS and will deliver excellent recruitment services to the client, managing the end-to-end recruitment process in line with agreed service levels.
Key Accountabilities
What you'll be doing:
Leadership
* Support recruiters to ensure they are meeting relevant targets, including acting as a point of escalation for challenges raised during the recruitment process
* Provide oversight of requisitions managed by recruiters as guardians of quality and experience
* Mentor recruiters to deliver recruitment services and drive hiring manager relationships
* Provide pastoral care, training guidance, including supporting recruiters with their own career paths
* Maintain regular communication with team members, including conducting regular 1:1s and virtual team collaboration sessions.
* Support to act as a first line of escalation management where hiring managers, candidates or stakeholders flag concerns of feedback on their experience. You will be expected to own some escalations through to resolution, ensuring root cause analysis and the correct controls, governance and if relevant compliance are implemented - such as RAID log entries and engaging with the wider AMS to engage appropriate parties.
* Act as a key contributor to team engagement activities - both local onsite resource, and offsite teams (Sourcing, Administration) leveraging the tools AMS have in place such as AMS Appreciate, Awards as well as support to coordinate and run AHC's, team meetings and feedback forums.
Recruitment Delivery
* Ensure the recruitment service is delivered in line with contractual obligations and client service level agreements.
* Lead vacancy consultation discussions in partnership with the Sourcer to agree to recruitment plans with hiring managers and document outcomes of the intake meeting
* Collaborate with Sourcing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality candidate shortlists through timely feedback and review discussions. Jointly review the shortlist with the hiring manager
* Support the hiring manager with hiring decisions and guide them in determining an appropriate offer
* Manage the offer process and close the candidate - broker the offer with the chosen candidate, manage objections/negotiations and support the candidate during their notice period
Client Stakeholder Relationships
* Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with Senior hiring managers/stakeholders. Become a trusted advisor through providing counsel, advising through insight and SME knowledge on the recruitment process and ensuring that timelines are correctly identified and met
* Lead discussion on attraction strategies to correctly identify approach based on market and hiring demands
* Make recommendations for best fit and skills profile, coaching hiring managers on what may or may not be achievable
Internal Stakeholder Relationships
* Act as the custodian of excellent, comprehensive candidate experience in their own delivery and that of their team
* Flag continuous improvement and upselling opportunities to Client Services Manager
* Coach and mentor Recruiters, Sourcers and Administrators on best practice approaches and client culture, supporting them in achieving success in their roles
Technology and Compliance
* Review quarterly and fortnightly demand forecasts and ensure team is on target
* Build Talent Pooling plan and regularly review team reports on progress
Skills & Experience
You'll need to demonstrate:
Must haves
* Strong and proven financial services sector experience
* Recent/current demonstrable ability to lead a small team to deliver operational excellence
* Strong stakeholder management experience
* Experience of end-to-end recruitment delivery
* Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies (e.g. web sourcing, networking, advertising and database searching)
* Experience in using recruitment technology and databases
* Understanding of legislation affecting area of work (e.g. age discrimination, employment risks for contractors, OFCCP, data management techniques or similar local legislative requirements)
Nice to haves
* Contingent and perm hiring experience
* Experience in understanding and utilising data to optimise outputs and performance of team
* Proven ability to work in a highly complex matrix organisation
