We are looking for a caring and motivated Phlebotomist to join our supportive primary care team in a part-time role for 10 hours per week, with working days and times to be agreed with the successful candidate.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a welcoming practice environment where every team member plays a vital role in delivering excellent patient care.
You will provide a professional phlebotomy service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported while having blood samples taken. In return, we offer a friendly and collaborative team, and opportunities to learn new skills such as blood pressure monitoring and other clinical observations.

Main duties of the job
As our Phlebotomist, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team by collecting blood samples from patients in a safe, professional, and caring manner. You will ensure specimens are correctly labelled and handled, maintaining accuracy at all times.
You will be working closely with our clinicians and administrative staff to provide a smooth, efficient service for patients. The role also offers the opportunity to develop new skills, such as performing blood pressure readings and other routine observations, with full training and support provided.

Job responsibilities
Undertake venepuncture for patients in a professional and compassionate manner
Ensure accurate labelling, handling, and processing of specimens
Maintain patient records according to practice procedures
Follow infection prevention and control procedures
Support colleagues in the smooth running of the practice
Participate in training for additional skills such as blood pressure monitoring and other basic clinical observations

Experience
* Experience in venepuncture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently

* Experience in primary care or community health settings
* Willingness to undertake additional training in routine clinical observations
* Experience of using SystmOne
Qualifications
* Qualified in Phlebotomy
