We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to join a 2-bed residential home in Walsall supporting young people. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident senior looking to step into a Deputy role or an established Deputy seeking a stable and rewarding position.
The Role
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
* Lead and supervise staff, ensuring high standards of care and practice
* Work within a 2-bed children’s residential setting, supporting young people (EBD experience advantageous)
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
* Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management
* Participate in the on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support when required
* Contribute to a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for young people
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience managing or supervising a team
* Experience working within children’s residential care
* Qualification in one of the following (or higher):
* Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
* Level 3 Residential Childcare
* Level 3 Health & Social Care
* Experience working with EBD young people (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
