Position
Grounds Maintenance Team Leader – East London
Salary: £30,388 – £31,987 per year • Hours: 40 hours per week • Typical: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Role summary
You will join a team of two based in East London and surrounding areas, visiting a variety of properties to carry out ground maintenance tasks including grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub pruning and weed control in communal areas. A van will be provided for business use and must be kept in good condition.
Responsibilities
* Provide supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
* Use equipment and materials safely, in accordance with risk assessments and manufacturer guidance
* Carry out hazardous tasks such as spraying in line with supplier guidelines; maintain relevant records to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
* Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and suitable for required tasks
* Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
Skills and qualifications
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
* Recent experience in a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
* This role involves driving on company business; drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

* Role salary is £29,549 with an additional policy allowance of £839 per annum (rising to £31,104 with an additional policy allowance of £883 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
