We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join our dynamic team! This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of industrial and commercial entrance control equipment. If you have a passion for service excellence and technical expertise, we want to hear from you!
*Overall Purpose of the Role:*
As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of automatic sliding and hinged gates, traffic barriers, road blockers, and pedestrian turnstiles. You will be the face of our company, providing high-quality support to our customers while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Perform service, repair, and maintenance on products.
* Diagnose repairs or upgrades and provide prompt feedback to customers and the in-house service team.
* Conduct equipment surveys to ensure compliance with the latest standards and regulations.
* Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently, obtaining customer sign-off.
* Participate in out-of-hours support, call-out, and standby rotas as necessary.
* Engage in mandatory training and promote employer quality standards.
*Skills, Qualifications & Training:*
*Essential:*
* Full UK Driving License.
* City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent.
* Mechanical and electrical experience.
*Desirable:*
* 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations.
* Knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
* Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain.
* Security Check / Counter Terrorist Check
* DHF Gate Safety Diploma (expected to be organised by Employer).
* Relevant CSCS Card.
*Personal Skills:*
You must be committed to delivering high-quality service and support. The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to build effective relationships are essential for this role.
*Experience:*
*Essential:*
* Proven experience with industrial/commercial gates, barriers, road blockers, and turnstiles.
* Strong understanding of wiring diagrams and relevant standards.
*Desirable:*
* A track record in diagnosing and repairing a range of access Previous experience with PLC fault finding.
