Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Hybrid Working
A leading and ambitious accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its growing Tax Consultancy team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CTA-qualified tax professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio, deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services, and play a key role in mentoring and developing junior team members.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing complex corporate tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.
* Providing technical guidance, training and mentoring to Tax Assistants, Seniors and Assistant Managers.
* Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and ensuring exceptional client service.
* Delivering proactive tax planning and advisory solutions.
* Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to provide tailored tax advice.
* Monitoring work progress, recoverability and billing across your portfolio.
* Supporting recruitment activities, including graduate and experienced hire recruitment.
* Undertaking formal line management responsibilities.
About You
To be considered, you will have:
* CTA qualification.
* At least 3+ years' experience in Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory.
* Strong technical corporate tax knowledge.
* Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
* Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior team members.
* The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Experience with Alphatax would be advantageous but is not essential.
