Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

A bit about the job:
1. Define and maintain a 3-year strategy to ensure our platform design is modern, relevant, and achievable.
2. Work closely with Platform owners, Architects, and Solution Designers to translate strategic requirements into detailed designs and standards.
3. Ensure all integrations adhere to Cloud principles and platform standards, while governing the overall platform design and chairing the Actuarial Solution Design Forum (ASDF).
4. Investigate infrastructure issues, implement procedures to meet SLA and DR strategies, and support hardware/software upgrades and vulnerability management.
5. Drive initiatives to reduce operational costs, contribute to best practice guidelines, and maintain efficient designs with comprehensive documentation.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
6. Proven experience in a Cloud designer-related role, with a strong understanding of AWS technologies and DevOps processes, including AWS methodologies like EC2, RDS, AWS FSxN, and S3.
7. Excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with both IT and business stakeholders.
8. Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of efficiently managing work for yourself and others.
9. Ability to diagnose complex issues and translate technical and business information into practical solutions.
10. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to lead and motivate a diverse team, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and adapt quickly under pressure.

11. Starting salary £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
