Job Description
* Manage, lead and motivate your team to achieve department performance against agreed key performance indicators, recognising success, and encouraging collaborative cross team working
* Lead from the front, setting individual and team SMART objectives, carrying out regular one to one meetings, and maintain a positive and open culture across the team
* Manage, lead and deliver a diverse range of procurement projects
* Implement consistent reporting to facilitate decision making
* Develop the direct procurement team to identify suppliers and manufacturers for a range of raw materials, packaging and products from across the world
* Monitor, plan and react quickly to changes in supply, to minimise and eliminate disruption, and maintain stock items in line with stock holding guidelines
* Proactively monitor and communicate price increases, assess margin impact and notify relevant department(s)
* Use a range of negotiating techniques to reduce the cost of purchases across selected areas and achieve value for money, whilst maintaining good supplier relationships.
The Successful Applicant
* 5 years' procurement experience within a manufacturing production environment
* Experience in successfully coaching and developing, with the proven ability to lead, inspire, coach, and manage teams to deliver results, ideally in a procurement environment
* A positive mindset, high level of personal drive, independence and openness to learning
* Experience of providing creative solutions to supply chain issues and managing suppliers commercially against SLA's
* Experience of managing and delivering procurement projects
* ERP experience - Autosmart uses IFS, experience of this application would be beneficial.
