Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £90 - £105 Per day
Responsibilities
* Supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the classroom setting
* Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
* Providing one-to-one support to students with SEMH requirements
* Helping students to develop social skills and manage their emotions effectively
* Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
* Collaborating with other staff members to create a supportive learning environment
Qualifications
* Minimum of GCSEs, including English and Maths
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
* A relevant teaching assistant qualification is preferred
* Experience working in a school or educational setting with students with SEMH needs is essential
* Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behaviour
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Training in safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
