Greyfriars is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit situated within the grounds of Wotton Lawn Hospital. We provide care to patients who are acutely unwell and carry additional risk. We are a specialist, nurse-led service, operating a referral-based system in line with the PICU National Minimum Standards.
Service users are supported by a variety of healthcare professionals including nurses, doctors, psychologists, art therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and sports exercise therapists.
Our facility includes four wards in the main building, as well as a nurse-led Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Low Secure Unit (LSU) located on the grounds.
Everyone in the hospital is committed to making the admission and stay as pleasant as possible. Staff work closely with regional Crisis and Home Treatment Teams (CHTT) and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) to ensure seamless service provision.
