Prospero Teaching is proud to work in partnership with Local Councils and SEND teams across the UK, supporting learners who are currently out of mainstream education, those needing additional academic input, and individuals with SEND who require tailored support.
We're now seeking a dedicated Tutors with Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent) to deliver 1:1 tuition in core GCSE subjects, helping students prepare confidently and successfully for their exams. This is a chance to make a genuine impact-guiding learners who need focused, personalised teaching to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted, personalised tuition across a range of GCSE subjects, ensuring students fully understand key concepts.
Create engaging, interactive lesson plans that adapt to each learner's needs, supported by resources available on our Tutor Portal.
Track and assess student progress, adjusting your teaching approach as needed and completing an End of Week (EOW) report.
Build a motivating, supportive learning environment that encourages students to stay focused and strive for academic success.
Maintain clear, effective communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of progress and areas for development.
What We're Looking For
QTS, a relevant teaching qualification, or strong tuition experience.
Solid understanding of the GCSE curriculum across core subjects.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, impactful relationships with learners.
A genuine passion for helping students succeed and confidence in teaching up to GCSE level.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 learners.
A proven track record of helping students achieve academic goals through 1:1 tuition.
