Consultant Urologist – Explore the Private Sector
Location: Portsmouth

Are you an experienced Consultant Urologist looking to explore private sector work while maintaining high-quality clinical practice? You’ll be part of a collaborative team of consultants treating over 15,000 patients annually, predominantly from the NHS with a growing private patient list. About the Role:
* Deliver a wide range of day-case and inpatient urology procedures
* Provide expert care in endoscopic urology techniques
* Support junior colleagues and lead clinical decision-making when required
* Participate in audit, clinical governance, and departmental development
* Engage in CPD and maintain GMC revalidation requirements
* Collaborate with NHS partners to ensure continuity of care and emergency transfers
* Administrative duties including discharge summaries, reports, and case reviews
What You’ll Need:
* Full GMC registration with Specialist Registration in Urology
* FRCS (Urol) or equivalent
* Broad general experience with proven competence in endoscopic urological procedures
* Commitment to patient safety, clinical quality, and governance
* Excellent communication and team-working skills
* Ability to teach and mentor others
