About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Quality Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a major data centre project in Bristol. This is a pivotal role within the project delivery team, ensuring that all works meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems across all project stages- from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This position offers genuine scope for career progression, with the potential to advance into Regional or National Quality Management roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and manage the project’s Quality Management Plan (QMP) in line with company and client standards.
* Ensure all quality procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to by project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Lead regular audits, inspections, and NCR reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and design intent.
* Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to proactively identify and resolve quality-related issues.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all project quality records are up to date and properly filed.
* Deliver training and guidance to site teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Work closely with Health & Safety and Environmental teams to support integrated management systems.
* Liaise with the client’s quality representatives and attend quality review meetings.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Management role within large-scale construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of data centre, industrial, or mission-critical environments preferred.
* Excellent understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality assurance processes.
* Proven ability to manage and mentor project teams in quality best practices.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
