Job Description
CMC are currently a long-term aerospace manufacturing and aircraft assembly programme and I am looking to engage an experienced Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support in a high-volume, legacy aircraft environment.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working at the interface between engineering and the shop floor, with a strong understanding of traditional aircraft manufacturing methods.
Role overview:
The successful contractor will support the manufacture and assembly of fixed-wing aircraft and aftermarket parts. A significant part of the role involves interpreting very old and hand-drawn drawings, determining how parts are manufactured and assembled, and converting this information into modern, usable manufacturing data.
The programme is well underway and delivery-focused, requiring someone who can quickly understand existing processes and contribute immediately.
Location: Isle of Wight
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: 6 Months Initially
Work Pattern: Full-time onsite
