Choice Facilities Services is looking for a dedicated, motivated, and dependable individual to join our team as Deputy Portering & Security Manager.
In this key role, you will coordinate and support the management of Portering and Security Supervisors, while also assisting in the daytoday leadership of portering, security, waste, and transport teams across the service.
You will work closely with the Operational Support Manager Portering & Security and the Hotel Services Manager, providing essential management support to ensure services run smoothly and efficiently.

Main duties of the job
Support in the management, co-ordination and development of all operational support services in CHoICE run hospital sites, ensuring the delivery of a cost-effective service, which meets the needs of Trust/CHoICE and complies with policies and statutory regulations.
Providing direct line management to Operational Support Supervisors and offering mentorship to Trainee Facilities Assistant Managers working within the Operational Support team.
Making informed decisions in the absence of the Operational Support Manager Portering & Security when required.
Effectively managing, developing, and supporting a team of Portering, Security, and Waste Supervisors, as well as all other staff within Operational Support. This includes assisting the Operational Support Manager Portering & Security in ensuring the service is delivered efficiently, costeffectively, and supported by accurate and timely data collection and reporting
Demonstrating integrity, impartiality, and determination in driving continuous improvement and enhancing the overall quality of the service.
The main base for the post is South Tyneside District Hospital.
Shifts Pattern: The successful candidate will be fully flexible to work 40 hours within hours between 8am 5pm, and expectation to cover the needs of the service when required.
