Mental Health Practitioner Complex Care Residential, Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £38,907 (Full-Time) pro rata, £29,180.25 per annum depending on experience (covering 6 months Maternity leave)

Type: Permanent, Part-time working 30 hours/ Monday to Friday

Location: Covering residential homes across West Yorkshire/Batley, Leeds, Rotherham, Bradford, and Goole.


Main duties of the job

You will provide therapeutic services to children and young people in the region by assessing their needs and meeting them through consultation and staff training. The goal is to offer a stable and secure environment, supporting staff to build positive relationships with young people and enabling their development and achievement of full potential using approaches like DDP, PACE, and Therapeutic Parenting.

The role requires experience working in CAMHS settings, particularly within Looked After Children services.


Job responsibilities

This position supports a 6-month maternity cover, working part-time across various residential locations as specified.

Job Role

The successful candidate will deliver therapeutic services to children and young people, assessing needs and supporting staff through consultation and training to foster positive relationships and growth. The team adopts a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to enhance wellbeing, independence, and social-emotional resilience.


Candidate Profile

We seek an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking Mental Health Practitioner with registration from a relevant professional body (NMC, BACP, Social Worker England, etc.). Strong teamwork, communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.


Beneficial Experience
