We now have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Skilled Logistics Operator to join the small but busy Logistics team at our Firth Road, Lincoln site. Role Requirements You will be an energetic and well organised individual and detail-oriented. Responsible for accurately receiving Supplier deliveries into stores in a timely manner using SAP ERP computer system. Selecting materials to go out to the production lines using requisitions and order sheets to pick a wide variety of items, using the correct handling procedures and avoiding damage at all costs. Issuing out materials on an individual basis as and when required and avoiding damage at all costs. Maintaining traceability of components at all times. Accurately processing Customer shipments in a timely manner in accordance with all the specified order requirements and deadlines. Accurately processing Customer Returns (RMA's) Booking In and Technical Completion within SAP. Performing perpetual inventory counts, and keeping accurate records. Checking end of shelf life dates and performing the corrective actions to ensure all stock is within the Supplier specified 'Use by Date'. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment at all times, and complying with all relevant company safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. To ensure success in this position you will need to perform to a high level of accuracy, be self-motivated, organized, accountable, and able to perform under pressure and react to short up changes in priorities. You should have excellent communications skills as you will be liaising will all departments across the site especially Purchasing, Production Control, Production, Engineering, Accounts, Export Control and external bodies i.e. HMRC, Freight Carriers. Key Responsibilities: Receiving, processing, labelling, recording and storing incoming stock. Picking orders as requested by production control. Storing/Organizing inventory in a logical and accessible manner. Counting and confirming inventory. Checking end of shelf life dates. Issuing out of materials. Shipment of Customer orders. Arranging collections of shipments on the carrier's portals. Fully Processing Customer Returns within SAP. Carrying out all tasks in an accurate/timely manner in line with required timescales and deadlines. Ensuring ESD requirements are followed at all times. Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and well-organized. Skills & Experience - Essential: Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred. Prior experience working in warehouse/dispatch roles. Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental issues/requirements within a stores/manufacturing environment. Good people skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good knowledge of MS Office. Attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Computer literacy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both internal and external to the company. Ability to Work well in a team but Be Self-Motivated and Independent at times. Skills & Experience - Desirable: Experience/knowledge of SAP ERP system an advantage. Experience/knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices. Experience/Knowledge of 5s principles and practices. Working knowledge of Manual Handling Principles and Good Practices. Knowledge of manufacturers Health and Safety Data Sheets. Experience in safe handling of chemicals.
