As a Teacher in this SEND primary school, your responsibilities will include: Adapted Curriculum Planning : Design and deliver creative, differentiated lessons matched to diverse learning profiles and EHCP targets. Transition Support : Facilitate a warm, structured induction for pupils joining the school, cultivating trust and confidence from day one. Pupil Progress Monitoring : Use a range of assessment strategies-both formal and informal-to track progress and shape next steps. Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with the SENCO, therapists, support staff, and external specialists to coordinate and deliver joined-up support. Emotional and Behavioural Support : Embed strategies that promote emotional literacy, self-regulation, and resilience within a trauma-informed approach. Inclusive Environment Creation : Foster an inspiring, accessible classroom space that celebrates individuality and encourages active participation. Effective Resource Management : Utilise and adapt specialist resources to maximise engagement and learning outcomes. Ongoing Professional Growth : Take part in training related to SEND approaches, therapeutic strategies, and neurodiversity awareness. Qualifications and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Proven experience teaching in primary settings, preferably with exposure to SEND or SEMH environments. Deep knowledge of KS2 curriculum and differentiation techniques. Experience leading a class, implementing EHCPs, and liaising with families and agencies is advantageous.
