Job Details: Salary Range: £41,771 - £53,460 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications Work Location: HIWFRS HQ, Eastleigh (Hybrid Working) Hours per week: 37 Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 19 February 2026 The Role: There is an exciting opportunity for several Trainee, Graduate and/or Senior Fire Engineers of various grades and experience to join our Fire Engineering and Consultation Team (FECT) on a permanent basis. The Team is responsible for advising on the adequacy of fire safety messages in a wide range of new-build and renovation projects across Hampshire and Isle of Wight, as well as assisting our Protection Delivery teams in undertaking fire safety audits in complex premises. As a Fire Engineer you will: Take the lead on behalf of the Fire Authority in relation to fire engineering projects within Hampshire and IOW to ensure building designs meet the requirement of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Ensure building regulation consultations are completed within statutory timeframes. Provide support and guidance to operational, enforcement, investigations and fire safety colleagues on built environment and technical matters. Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Maintain high professional standards of practice. Maintain your own personal and professional development. Facilitate the sharing of relevant information with other areas of the organisation.
