Job responsibilities Main Duties A self-starter, you will be responsible for creating high-quality and creative written, audio and visual content to engage both internal and external audiences. This could be writing press releases or internal updates, creating video content or graphics for the website or social media channels, producing eye catching screensavers or video messages for staff or taking photos at staff events. Plan, develop and produce multi-media communications content, ranging from social media soundbites and vlogs, through to informative short films to highlight service developments or staff achievements. Plan, develop and produce engaging and accurate written communications content, ranging from press releases to newsletter updates. Support the creation and delivery of staff newsletters and internal communications. Deliver assigned projects, leading on successful completion within agreed timescales and budget. Support the videography and photography of events such as Digital Roadshow Supporting the EPR Programme with management of communications Support and advise Digital team on communications and engagement, ensuring that projects are planned, managed, and delivered effectively (whether delivered in-house or externally). Proactively plan, produce and publish material to enhance communications and engagement tools and activities, e.g., websites, intranet, social media, events and campaigns. Plan, create and post engaging content on social media. Create and upload weekly screensavers in PowerPoint, in line with UHN branding. Assist in the development and implementation of communication and engagement standards, helping to ensure standards are met and maintained and services are enabled to improve communications and engagement within their teams. Subject to skill availability/training, provide support to develop screensavers, animations and other graphics. Support communications and engagement colleagues in the delivery of other communications and engagement activity as appropriate. Interpret and simplify complex information to result in interesting and engaging communications material, ensuring that messaging is easily understood and accessible by a diverse range of audiences. Evaluate your work with continuous improvement in mind. Job requirements Frequent VDU use is required for this post for periods of up to 3 to 4 hours at a time in order to produce complex reports and analysis to support decision-making. Frequent concentration will be required on a wide variety of complex issues throughout the day. The post holder will frequently have to adapt to changing priorities and re-focus the work of self and others on new priority areas that may require urgent action. The post holder will participate in and chair/facilitate meetings, which require a high level of concentration on a wide range of topics, with a variety of audiences and mixtures of attendees. There will also be a requirement to present highly complex information at meetings which will require the individual to have frequent occasionally intense level of concentration frequently for a sustained period of time to ensure that there is active engagement in the subject matter at hand. Exposure to unpleasant working conditions or hazards is rare. Office conditions with regular requirement to travel. Ability to travel to the Northampton Hospital site and to other sites across the Group. You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the demands of a 24/7 organisation.
