Venesky-Brown are currently looking for Document Controllers to work with Sizewell C Nuclear powerplant project team in Suffolk. This will be a day rate contract role with hybrid working at either the London, Bristol or Manchester office (2-3 times per month in the office). For full details please see below. Job Purpose / Overview: To provide Document Control support to Sizewell C (SZC) in compliance with License Condition 6: Documents, Records, Authorities & Certificates. Scope and Nature of Role: Working within the Documents and Records Team and reporting to the Lead Document Controller. Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide document management support to the SZC project in a robust, reliable and timely manner, using the chosen EDRMS, and any other supplementary systems, ensuring compliance with project standards. Support Lead Document Controllers in the management and maintenance of documentation, data and records. Support Project Internal Teams and Project Supply Chain, providing training and guidance on the EDRMS and supporting processes. Manage, capture, control, store, and distribute all relevant current and historical documentation within SZC in accordance with project processes and procedures. Carry out quality assurance checks on all Project deliverables in accordance with project document control procedure. Manage the administration of workflows assigned to receive/check/distribute documents in accordance with project procedures/distribution matrix Support the integration of Nuclear New Build's document management system with its wider information management needs Comply with SZC’s approved processes and procedures Champion best practice Document Management within their team Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in Document Management Team's performance, processes, and procedures Produce all reports in accordance with project requirements, both internal and external Represent the Document Management Team in meetings Ability in identifying and solving issues in a document control environment Ability to integrate and be part of a team Good communication skills, both written and verbal Able to manage workload by understanding requirements and deadlines Being able to adhere to document control processes and procedures and deliver an effective service as document volumes ramp up. Day-to-day 'on the ground' decision-making, with support from Lead Document Controllers and Document Control Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Document Control experience in a complex stakeholder environment Experience of working in a project environment, delivering against set objectives and milestones Understanding of the quality assurance process applicable to document control Strong awareness of effective record keeping Knowledge of filing systems and the aim of distribution matrices Awareness of the importance of document, data, and/or information management in a large-scale capital project A good understanding of the functions of Electronic Document and Record Management Systems Strong competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to influence and promote the overall role that Document Control fills on a project and the importance of successfully managing interfaces
