Offer description

"It takes more than walls to build a home. It takes heart, leadership, and vision", Delivering outstanding care starts with connection and at Rabb Care, we believe every child deserves more than a placement — they deserve a stable, nurturing home where they feel safe, valued, and supported to heal.

We're a new, ambitious provider creating therapeutic, child-centred homes built on strong values, high standards, and a genuine belief that care should always come before profit. We exist to create spaces where young people can recover, grow, and thrive, where the people caring for them feel equally supported, developed, and empowered.

Why is this an exciting opportunity?

We're launching a brand-new, therapeutic children's home, and we're looking for a Registered Manager who's ready to take the lead in shaping something special from day one.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside a leadership team that's driven by people, purpose, and positive change. You'll bring your knowledge, vision, and passion, and we'll provide the structure, support, and autonomy to help you build a home that makes a lasting difference.

This is your chance to influence the foundations, from systems and recruitment to culture and care. Creating a service that not only meets expectations but sets the standard. This journey will belong to you just as much as it does to us and that's why finding the right person to help shape this vision is so important.

The Role:

As Registered Manager, you'll be responsible for all operational aspects of the home, ensuring children receive consistent, high-quality, trauma-informed care.

You'll play a key role in establishing the home's structure, policies, and practices, assisting with the development and implementation of infrastructure now and over time as the service grows.

Recruitment, onboarding, and developing a skilled, values-driven team will sit at the heart of your role, alongside fostering a positive, resilient culture where both young people and staff feel supported.

Through strong leadership, reflective practice, and a clear focus on quality assurance, you'll drive continuous improvement. Whilst ensuring the home provides stability, safety, and real opportunities for children to thrive

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the opening, registration, and ongoing management of a new children's home
* Develop systems, processes, and practice aligned to regulations and therapeutic standards

* Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and care planning to the highest standards
* Support children with complex needs using trauma-informed, relational approaches
* Embed strong quality assurance, ensuring continuous improvement across the home
* Build effective working relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
* Ensure the home remains Ofsted-ready and delivers positive inspection outcomes
* Lead with integrity, setting the tone for a culture of accountability, learning, and growth

About You:

* Proven leadership experience within a children's residential setting
* Strong understanding of care regulations, safeguarding, and quality frameworks
* Confident supporting young people impacted by early life trauma and adversity
* Reflective, emotionally intelligent, and values-driven leadership style
* Committed to building strong teams and embedding a positive workplace culture
* Organised, resilient, and motivated by delivering real outcomes for children
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management

What We Offer:

* Competitive salary with annual and performance-related bonuses
* Full support from a child-centred, people-led leadership team
* Opportunity to help shape the service, team, and long-term direction
* Ongoing CPD, leadership development, and genuine progression opportunities
* A brand-new home you can build from the ground up
* Regular recognition, staff wellbeing focus, and company events
* Pension scheme and on-site parking

If you're ready to lead with purpose, inspire others, and be part of a home where every child and every member of staff truly matters, we'd love to hear from you.
