ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced chef, used to catering for large groups of people, looking to design your own menus and cook with fresh seasonal food?
Are you seeking a role without split shifts and anti-social hours?
Would you like full autonomy over menu development and the opportunity to prepare nutritious, high-quality, flavorful, and well-balanced meals loved by our residents?
As a Chef in our homes, you’ll oversee all aspects of our kitchen and catering services, including managing a small team, and ensuring high standards of nutrition, hygiene, and safety. Occasionally, you may cater for meals at other day centres, luncheon clubs, and community activities, with some weekend work required.
Nutrition is a key element of our care package. You’ll be involved in meeting the nutritional needs of our residents to ensure a high-quality dining experience. Building relationships with residents and their families to understand and accommodate their preferences will be part of your role.
Joining us means becoming part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside passionate team members dedicated to providing care, warmth, and kindness to all in our homes.
Located in historic Old Sarum, just north of Salisbury, Avon Court and Bourne House form Avonbourne Care Centre. Each offers an elegant environment with compassionate, individualized care in welcoming, relaxing, and homely settings.
